Kiddo will be going into grade one next year, and the amount of progress that she’s made in the last two years, I am awed and owe a debt of gratitude to the teaching and support staff at her current school.
In just under a week’s time, kiddo will be a kindergarten graduate. She’s made so much progress, and I can’t find the words to express the changes. She got tenacity and smarts, and yes, I know that every parent says that. I’m only repeating what I’ve been told by the specialists that we’ve had in our journey.
That doesn’t mean that we’re not going to find challenges. Grade One is different than what she’s experienced in her kindergarten class. But I have not one single doubt that she’ll face them, and we’ll be right there with her, and conquer them.
As the summer starts, I’ll be putting my posting, which has been spotty since the pandemic started, on hold. I want to redo some important behind the scenes stuff and some not so behind the scenes stuff as well.
This blog is, in part, a documentation of our journey as a family. It will grow and evolve as we do. Part of that growth is stepping away and taking care of us. I look forward to bringing more information and discussions as we get closer to the start of the new school year.
